Central passenger terminal

Central passenger terminal / Katowice Airport Investment Program 2024–2028

The new passenger traffic infrastructure will be created in the area where passenger terminal A, the old air traffic control tower and the so-called "multi-functional building" are currently located.

By 2028, a two-storey central passenger terminal with a surface of 49K m2 will be created at Katowice Airport. Check-in area, arrivals hall and baggage rooms will be located on the ground floor. Security control, passport control, departures hall and boarding gates – partially equipped with jet bridges – will be located on floor +1. The building will be connected with ”Pyrzowice Lotnisko” railway station via a tunnel for pedestrians; it will be 270 metres long. The project estimates, that it will be possible to expand the object to even 72K m2 after 2028.
