Investments

Construction of the central passenger terminal will require the oldest part of the Katowice Airport cubic infrastructure to be demolished. It is formed by the old air traffic control tower, handling companies' technical/social facilities and the so-called multi-functional building, where office rooms, as well as the Aircraft Rescue and Fire Fighting unit's fire station are located.

The building will be located between taxiways Alpha, Echo 2, Delta and Hotel 4. The project estimates that the fire station will have a surface of approx. 1750 m². It will have a garage hall with 6 stands for 12 vehicles, as well as technical and social/administrative rooms.
